I watched my first show in 2011 and from that moment on I knew this was a sport that I wanted to be involved in. I had my first show in May 2012 and from there the rest is history. I’m incredibly humbled by the amazing people I’ve met and the opportunities I’ve been given in this sport. It didn’t happen overnight and there were more times than not that I doubted myself, but I kept persevering and never gave up in the pursuit of my dreams. I wasn’t blessed with the best genetics and I’ve fought for every improvement I’ve made in my physique. I was the awkward, incredibly small and shy girl growing up and this sport has not only transformed my physique but more importantly, it has also given me confidence and made me believe in myself and what I’m capable of. I know now that almost anything is possible as long as you’re willing to put in the time, commitment and dedication that goals and dreams do come true.
The best advice I can give someone is to ignore the outside noise. Not everyone will believe in you, not everyone will see your vision. People, friends and maybe even family may doubt you. However, don’t let anybody steal your dreams. It’s your dream, not theirs and this is a tough sport, but you can do it. This sport will test you mentally and physically, but it can also show you just how strong and capable you are. You don’t have to compete to be involved in this community, there are many gyms that welcome and support everyone in all stages of their journey. I promise you, you will find some of the nicest and determined people in the gym. Give it a shot, challenge yourself and who knows maybe you too will find that spark in yourself that you will share with the world.
Favorite Workout: My least favorite workout used to be glutes, however, this has now become my favorite body part to train. I used to dread training glutes for the simple fact that it was a weakness in my physique. I decided to change my mentality right then and strive to make it one of my strengths.
Favorite Cheat Meal: While in prep I remove all dairy so I’m somewhat limited on what cheat meals I can have. I usually go for a great hamburger, fries and BBQ sauce while in prep. However, in general, I do love pizza, brownies, gummy candy, ice cream and of course real cheeseburgers.
Go to supplement stack: Hands down my Holy Grail supplement from Universal is the Egg Pro in the Vanilla flavor. I have this 3x a day while in prep and it’s also a staple in my offseason. My go-to supplement for offseason would be Real Gains in chocolate. I’m also really loving the new Amino Octane in Mango Peach.

“Universal Nutrition first came to my attention through their recognizable trademark flexing red bodybuilder logo – it's pretty iconic – and through the fact that it has been around in the industry for many, many years.“
