Scholarship. It's aid awarded to needy and deserving individuals for the purpose of gaining knowledge and fostering attainment. Now in its strictest sense, it refers to those attending school. But we can't think of a better place to learn about life, learn methods of discipline and dedication, than in the school of iron. The classroom is the gym. The studies, the training. The meal plan, the pre-contest diet. The goal? Putting it all together and "graduating" to the stage.

Universal USA is committed to the idea of "community". A strong, rich and vibrant bodybuilding community once existed, where mentors helped out rookies. Where competitor helped competitor and people were connected. We want a return to to that and one way we're going to do that is through this scholarship program. This is our way to give back to the sport and those who are going to drive it forward into the future.

Bodybuilding is a sport that requires tremendous sacrifices in time, effort and funds. Sadly, in these times, bodybuilding is a sport that has been marginalized. All the more reason that we do this, not for glory and fame, but for ourselves.
