What's the difference between Torrent and Torrent Zero?
Both are complete post-workout (PWO) shakes. Torrent is a full post-workout shake with carbohydrates. Torrent Zero has zero added carbs for dieting individuals.
What is the difference between Ultra Whey Pro and Ultra Iso Whey?
Ultra Whey Pro consists of a blend of whey proteins, from whey protein concentrates (WPC), whey protein isolates (WPI), and hydrolyzed whey (WPH). Ultra Iso Whey is a pure whey protein isolate (WPI) product.
I’m taking ZMA Pro but I also take a protein shake that contains calcium prior to bed. Will this interfere with the absorption of the ZMA?
To ensure best absorption of ZMA Pro, we would suggest taking ZMA Pro 1 hour prior to bed and then wait 30 mins prior to bed to have your shake.
Does Torrent contain enough protein?
Yes. Torrent has 20g of protein, but it's not just regular whey protein. Torrent contains expensive WPH (whey protein hydrolysates), which is the fastest absorbing protein of its kind, even faster than free form aminos. After a workout the goal is to take in only the most efficient sources of nutrients and WPH is as efficient as it gets. Plus, research suggests that too much protein isn't efficient as excess can convert to the waste product, urea. Torrent is lean and efficient and was designed with the idea that nothing should go to waste. Also, bear in mind that Torrent contains 8,000mg of a special leucine complex, bringing up the total amino acid content of Torrent significantly. For those in the know, leucine may very well be the most anabolic of all the amino acids. This 8,000mg, when combined with WPH, creates a far greater impact than 20g of whey protein concentrate alone.
Why do I need Torrent? Isn't my regular PWO protein shake enough?
Simply put, no. Recent studies show that combining whey along with carbs and leucine is more beneficial than protein alone or protein and carbs alone. The additional leucine appears to help further stimulate muscle protein synthesis and maximally optimizes whole protein balance. Leucine is the “money” amino in terms of anabolism, and Torrent delivers a full 8,000 milligram complex of its most advanced forms. With Torrent, all of your postworkout needs are covered in one shot and at a price that is very, very nice. Easily digested protein, an advanced carb blend and 18,000mg of cutting-edge aminos and creatine all in one is a delicious postworkout drink mix.
Why is Intra-Aid different from regular "sports drinks" designed for endurance athletes?
Intra-Aid is different from regular "sports drinks" because these commercial drinks only contain carbs (usually high-fructose corn syrup) and electrolytes. Where's the hydrolyzed whey? Where are the free-form EAAs? Any extra ergogenic aids? Most commercial sports drinks lack these vital nutrients. Without hydrolyzed whey, EAAs and beta alanine there is no way that you can properly prevent muscle catabolism, delay muscular fatigue and enhance muscle protein synthesis during your workout.
Can I stack Intra-Aid with other Universal supplements?
Yes. Intra-Aid can be stacked with a variety of other Universal supplements. In particular, if you are looking to take advantage of the "anabolic window of opportunity" that exists after your workout, we suggest the following stack.
- Pre-workout: 1 scoop of Shock Therapy.
- Intra-workout: 1 scoop of Intra-Aid.
- Post-workout: 3 scoops of Torrent.
Will any of Universal’s supplements cause me to fail a steroid test?
All of our products are 100% natural and are not linked to steroids or an PH compounds. Just to be 100% safe though, you should check with your governing organization.
Do I need to take a PCT with Natural Sterol Complex?
Natural Sterol Complex is potent natural mass and density enhancer, however because all its ingredients are herbal-based, there is no PCT necessary as NSC does not contain any illegal steroids or prohormones.
When is the best time to use my protein powder?
Have a serving of protein powder immediately post workout. Rely on whole foods throughout the day, but use protein powder to help you reach your targeted amount of protein per day. A common practice is to use a serving upon waking up, a serving post-workout and serving prior to bed.
How do I take EAA Nitro and my protein powder post workout?
Take a serving of EAA Nitro immediately after training. Follow it up with your protein shake 15-20min later.
What's the difference between Universal Shock Therapy and Animal Pump?
Do you prefer pills or powders? Shock Therapy is a powder, while Animal Pump is a pack of pills. Shock Therapy gives you a nice energy 'kick' shortly after taking it, while Pump gives you a slow, sustained source of energy. If you're looking for a quick pick me up, go with Shock Therapy.
I play a sport in the NCAA. Will any of these products cause me to fail a test?
It’s always best to check with your organization. All Universal products are 100% safe, yet some organizations have strict rules/regulations, including rules against too much caffeine in your system. To be 100% sure, always cross reference the list of ingredients on any Universal product with your organization's list of banned substances.
I can't find my scooper in the tub. Is there one in there?
Yes, all of our protein powders have scoops. Sometimes the scoop will settle to the bottom during shipment. Check there. If not, give us a call at 1-800-872-0101 or email us at info@UniversalUSA.com and we'll help you out.
Do I need to take Storm on non-training days?
In order to keep your creatine levels saturated, we recommend taking a single serving on non-training days. This serving can be taken any time throughout the day.
