whey to cook

Recently I began to see that people use much whey for cooking and muffin pancakes and egg whites and whey, and my question is whether the whey retains its nutritional value after cooking?

Hi Luill

Good Question! I put my whey in my oat meal but i make my oatmeal before i put the whey on it, I even wait till it cools down. My feelings is whey protein is such a specialty in its own form, that to mix it with any thing else would de-grade it purity (my feelings ) as i said i do put it in my oat meal in the morning but that is the only time, the rest of the day is straight up by itself in water. I am after purity in all the nutritional products, heat can change the structure of the amino acid, this is my thoughts on cooking with whey.

I often wondered how much it changed the structure. I think some whey cook better then others too.

I put the whey in my oatmeal after it is done cooking. I don't like my oatmeal right off the stove, so when I add it it's probably at room temperature. I have also thrown it in greek yogurt for an added boost.
